NATIONAL AWARD WINNER  ARTIST, Poyam Vishyakarma> Bastar >

Exclusive Collection

This wrought iron sculpture of a group of tribal men dancing to traditional tunes at a social gathering, is a beautiful vignette straight out of the social life of the indigenous people of Bastar. Capturing movements such as the fluidity of dance, is a skill that comes naturally to Poyam Vishyakarma- THE NATIONAL AWARD WINNER OF IRON CRAFT .That the master craftsman captures the movements in a medium such as iron is awe-inspiring. His attention to details, such as the positions of the hands and legs of the dancers, the intricate twirls of their staffs etc., has made this a collector's item.

Each artifact will be accompanied by a certificate from the award winning artist -making this a unique piece of art.

Bastar wrought iron artifacts are molded into shape from scrap iron made pliable by heating in furnaces, using basic tools such as hammer and tongs. Yet, they are rendered with such finesse and detail, that they make brilliant collectibles and gifts.
